Hello,
Its been a minute since we have been able to get online and blog. Since things happen fast and karma, timing and purpose are all factors, today is blog catch up day….
Since arriving in the west coast north west, we have been meeting up to ten to fifteen people a day, we have been looking at about five to ten places a day. Everyone we have met has been amazing, many share yoga, music, tea, and practice.
I am going to attempt to unfold some of what we have in brought into view by using the comment section to expand this blog entry, organizing and positioning important information.
Because there is so much to say and share, it helps to use the comment sections, breaking things down one aspect at a time…..
If you have shared yoga, music, tea and your energy these past few weeks, we are truly grateful and happy to keep the energy alive!
Bless
NamaBonsai

We found a super chill place where you might want to meet up with us at some point for a visit! The owner of the place is very interested in the sustainability efforts of the Analog Forestry Friends, so it may not be long before you can find Bio Verde Tea at his cafe…..
Clinton Corner Cafe is a neighborhood cafe that has been in S.E.
Portland for over four years. They began as a small coffee shop in March 2003. In 2005 they expanded.
A new kitchen was installed, as well as a new dining room and bar. From the beginning to now, they
have been a place where friends, old and new, gather. Locally grown organic food, organic coffee,
regional beer, wine and spirits have always been a part of the cafe. We feature live music and art
from local artists and musicians. In addition to our daily happy hour, we also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Thanks for checking their website out and they look forward to your requests for Bio Verde Tea.

While we were there introducing the teas, a super cool dude invited us back to his table to share his life with us, and we were blessed to meet him because he is soon opening a retail skateboard shop and art space….. He too was interested in the Bio Verde Tea.
In case you haven’t heard about it from us, we have been dedicating our Yoga and music studio to a sustainability effort to promote Analog forestry! It is a system of growing trees and plants that seek to establish a tree-dominated ecosystem that is analogous in architectural structure and ecological function to the original climax and sub-climax vegetation community. Thus, analog forestry draws design input not only from traditional models but also from the natural forest successional dynamics. When an ecosystem is designed to be analogous to the indigenous climax state, the efficiency and dynamics of the natural processes can be replicated. These quasi-natural forests are designed to mimic the structural and functional aspects of indigenous forests and are referred to as analog forests. In addition to their ecological characteristics, analog forests are also designed to provide economic benefits. However, its is not until all the ecological requirements of the location are satisfied that economic values of species are considered. Therefore, an analog forest may be comprised of natural and exotic species in any proportion, the contribution to structure and function being the overriding factor that determines its use.
In analog forestry, conservation of biodiversity is an equally important goal as economic gain. By contrast, agroforestry sees an increase in the production of crops and income generation as the desired goal.
It arose in Sri Lanka around 1981 as an alternative to monocultures of Pinus and Eucalyptus and has spread to India, Viet Nam, Philippines, Australia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic,Honduras,Mexico, Canada, Kenya and Zimbabwe at present.
The International Analog Forestry Network (IAFN) is currently hosted in Costa Rica.

Guess what? We have been staying with a friend from Ohio who introduced us to a company he is working for called “best american arts”!
Please leave some comments and let us know, so we can let them know, if you would like to see our weavings and fiber art positioned via their online hub!
We would like to get settled and reopen our weaving studio, put the loom back together and get some new work out asap.
We still have to pick up some of our studio in sf, ca and the other half of the studio is north of seattle, wa. So we still have a few steps top go, to get things up and running. But the good news is that we have sourced the next round of dyes and scarves… Cheryl has been supplying our dyes for a while and has worked hard to establish a strong foundation for us all to get involved in some healthy choices and sources of fibers and dyes. if you have not seen our art, please schedule a meet up with us, maybe over tea, so we can discuss our art and yoga practice with you…. We would love to invite you to our next yoga sessions, and we enjoy collabs, so lets get up and go!

The blog is unfolding a little but we had a cancelation on us just now, and have been in the adjustment dance, so our updates are going slower than they would if we were freed up…..
An old high school friend did a switch up after an agreement and now it forces us into a last minute situation.

is a tope ranch-style home on 35th avenue, this is its blog.
+ adventures + anecdotes + artistic attempts
Did you skip Friday’s art opening of The Dude Ranch’s Tap Dance Strip Touch On Yer Grave at the Pancake Clubhouse? Well then get ready to get jealous.
Bonsai stayed with the dude ranch a few days while relocating to pdx and gotta say these people are doing good things! The art vibe is supportive and wonderful…..
And one of the guests we met there is the grandson of a family who is closing down their indy bookstore, and we started an online group about it, and the related issues…. Some newsworthy truth process and something americans need to wake up to, if we are going to get this country back on track…..

So, yeah, the dude ranch is a super special group of people, and we send big respect!
So, we returned to the Dude ranch after giveing them a break for a few days to stay at another friends. Tonight is movie night at the dude ranch.
Our bookstore friend is still here, and he is always so welcoming.
We also met some other people, new to town, some new couch-surfers rolling through…..
So the movie is about to start, but after getting online again, I saw we left this blog swinging the last time we were on because of some last minute switch ups by a high school friend. It put us into a juggle, but we are recovering.
The only thing is that we have not had very much internet access where we were staying…..
However, things have been picking up, so we have been able to update a few of our blogs and websites…… We recently removed a blog from our yoga website, and added some new structure that should help with scheduling yoga sessions and other connecting.
Also, we just got this message in, check it out….
Regarding food communication:
The Rainforest Palm syrup will be a clean, substitute
You may have avoided the ingredient in the past because it’s long been said
to be bad for you, But why?
Some will say it’s bad for your waistline but turns out one study says there
may be another reason.
What you had for breakfast, as a snack, or with your lunch or dinner, may
have given you more than your
recommended daily dose of carbs or fat.
Without knowing you could also of had your daily dose of mercury!
New research found that 1/3 of the foods tested, that were sweetened with
high fructose corn syrup, contained traces of mercury.
55 samples were taken and it was found in seventeen of the foods.
The grocery list ranges, but researchers found it in anything from pop tarts
and chocolate drinks, to ketchup!
Are you alarmed? Local doctors say not so fast. “The study found mercury in
the foods and it assumed that it came from the high fructose corn syrup,
which they don’t really know for sure because in fact they tested a lot of
beverages that had a high level of hfcs and they didn’t have mercury. So
they are assuming, ” says Dr. Vaghan Hall
Assumption he says is only the first problem he see’s with the study. “The
level of mercury were very low, barley detectable and the fact is there is
mercury in food, air, ground, everywhere if you go test for it,” Hall says.
Bottom line is that Dr. Hall says mercury was found in these foods and
certain levels of the toxin can be harmful to young children and pregnant
mothers. But until he sees more specific research,he’s says he’s not
convinced high fructose corn syrup is the source, or overly concerned with
the findings.
“I don’t like to hear there is mercury in foods children eat, but again,
it’s not enough information to tell us
Here is an invite we found over on the walls at the due ranch….
